Why "Stainless Steel" Rusts in LA
Not all glass hardware is created equal. Standard "304 Grade" steel will turn brown within 12 months of exposure to the Pacific Ocean air. We use something better.

Standard 304 or 316 steel develops ugly brown spots ("tea stains") quickly in coastal areas like Santa Monica or Newport.

Is glass safe for children and pets?
Yes. We use 1/2-inch thick Tempered Safety Glass. It is 4-5 times stronger than standard glass and is designed to withstand heavy impacts. If it were to break (which is extremely rare), it crumbles into small, dull chunks rather than dangerous shards. It is actually safer than wood or iron because there are no footholds for children to climb.
Is it hard to keep the glass clean?
It's easier than you think. We apply a specialized Hydrophobic Coating (similar to ceramic coating on cars) that repels water and dirt. Most maintenance involves a simple hose-down with soapy water every few months. No scrubbing required.
What happens if a panel breaks? Can you fix it?
Yes. Our modular spigot system makes repairs simple. If a panel breaks, we don't have to tear down the whole fence. We simply loosen the clamps, remove the debris, and slide a new custom-cut panel into place. We offer emergency glass replacement services throughout LA.
Will birds fly into the glass fence?
It is very rare. Birds typically fly higher than 5 feet (the standard height for pool fences). Furthermore, the reflection of the ground or pool water usually signals to them that it is an object. We have installed hundreds of miles of glass fencing in LA and bird collisions are not a common reported issue.
