How do you prevent termites from eating the fence posts?
We don't put wood in the ground. We use galvanized steel PostMaster™ posts. They provide the look of a wood fence (they can be covered) but offer the strength of steel and a lifetime warranty against rot and termites.
Which wood grade do you recommend?
We exclusively recommend "Con Heart" Redwood. Unlike common pine or sapwood, heartwood is harvested from the center of the tree and is naturally resistant to the insects and dry rot prevalent in Southern California.
Do I need to stain my new wood fence?
Yes. To maintain the rich color, we recommend applying a UV-resistant oil stain every 3-5 years. Without staining, redwood will naturally weather to a silvery-gray patina but remain structurally sound.
My yard is sloped. Can you install a wood fence?
Yes. We use a 'Stepped' or 'Racked' installation method to follow the grade of your land. This ensures the fence remains level and aesthetically pleasing without leaving large gaps at the bottom that pets could escape through.
